For me, Burle Marx embodies the complete landscape architect: someone who understood the landscape as a living work of art, seamlessly integrating botany, abstraction, and ecological awareness.
To design beyond the drawing board, where research and curiosity are guided by the emotion of color, form, and the senses. I still have one dream left to fulfill: visiting his secret garden in Rio—a 40-hectare tropical park, exuberant and overflowing with species that together create an extraordinary landscape.
